my birthday

So today is my 16th birthday! It's been a great day and weekend! My mom took me and 3 friends to Wichita on Saturday after my volleyball tourney. We ate, opened gifts, spent the night there, took pictures, shopped and went to orange leaf! Overall, it was an awesome sweet 16! Here's a few pictures from it.

We thought it would be fun to dress up for it!

I seriously haven't made a card in about a month, no exaggeration! I just haven't felt it at all! So here's a card I made awhile back.

I really love that flower, with the stitching around it! Thanks for coming by! Have a great week and make some cards!

busy..

Busy, busy and more busy! School starting, volleyball, early drumline, wedding showers, moving my sister into college! It's kind of stressful! But anyways here's a quick card!

More of those flower dies! I used a paisly impression plate then I took my white ink and brushed it over the top! I think it came out well! Well, thats it for now! Have a great week!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for kids! This is my first challenge I've done, so I'm very excited about this! I made this card for my sisters birthday! It's very simple and I think this would be a very easy card to make multiples of in different colors for a set!

I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for stopping!

for you

I've been really busy lately with volleyball practices starting, band rehearsals and trying to hang out with friends as much as possible before school starts up again! Ughh! I made this card awhile back and I just love the colors on it!

I wasn't sure if the paisley impression plate and the paisley paper was too much but in the end I think it turned out better than I thought! Lately I've been adding floss like this around the cards and it just adds so much more to it.

Since I've been so busy lately I haven't had time to just sit down and craft! So I need to go start whipping up some more cards! I'm just hoping my creativity is turned on tonight!

hello

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to Kansas City for that wedding! It was very nice to get away one more time before school kicks in again! So here's my card for today:

This was a very fun card to make! I love the pink and green on top of the black! I got new scissors awhile back and I love them so much! They cut around everything so nicely! So on the frame around the hello I cut that out and didn't even use a die cut!

The lighting in these pictures are making me mad! I really need to come up with something better that will work for taking these pictures. I'll see what I can do! Well thats it for today! Have a great Monday!

a big thanks & unique paper.

I would like to say thanks SO much for all the comments yesterday, they truely did make my day! And don't be afraid to give me some pointers, I will need some! Also a BIG thanks to Laurie Willison for helping me through this whole process! I've learned so much from you!

So my card for today is a little unique. My sister took a class this year and they had to make paper! Don't ask me how she did it, because I don't know! I just love it! She was going to throw it away and I thought I could make some different cards out of it! So here it is:

Here's the close-up! I enjoyed making this card because the paper did all of the work and I didn't have to add much to it! I hope you enjoyed this card as well! Also, I need some advice on taking pictures! Right now I set it on a shelf with bad lighting and take it with my iphone! Haha, I need help!

1st post!

I'm very excited to start a blog! I've been looking at other people's blogs for awhile now and I thought this could be a good opportunity to start one! Since summer's almost over, I don't know how often I will be posting with all my activities during the school year. But if you have time, come and visit! I'm still learning a lot about this hobby but I'm enjoying it so far!

So this weekend my family's heading to Kansas City for my cousin's wedding! My mom asked if I could make a card for it, so I'll share it to you!

The colors of the wedding are red and tiffany blue. I recently got the flower die cut from Papertrey and I've used it so much! I love it!

Here's the close-up. It's very clean and simple and thats why I like this card so much! Feel free to leave me comments, let me know what you think! Thanks for coming by and looking!
